Follow the table and transcribe according to the following specificities.

  1. ‘gu, qu’
    • Write ‘gu, qu’ as ㄱ g, ㅋ k respectively before ‘i, e’ and as 구 gu, 쿠 ku before ‘o’. However, before ‘a’, write as 과 gwa, 콰 kwa in combination with that ‘a’.

  2. When the same consonant occurs twice in a row, write it as if it were not doubled. However, write -cc- as ㄱㅅ ks.

  3. ‘c, g’
    • If ‘c’ and ‘g’ are followed by vowels ‘e’ or ‘i’, write ‘c’ as ㅅ s and ‘g’ as ㅎ h, and otherwise write them as ㅋ k and ㄱ g respectively.
